The Peruvian Government openly opposes any foreign intervention in Venezuela and will contribute to international pressure against Nicolas Maduro s regime in order to foster a peaceful transition in favor of Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia, whom it recognizes as President-elect, Foreign Affairs Minister Elmer Schialer stated.
